In December 2007, more than 200 Hanesbrands employees from Canada, El Salvador, Honduras and the United States came together at Hogar San Rafael, a home and school for orphan children in Villanueva, Honduras.

Hanesbrands employees identified the home as a place where we could make a tremendous difference. After months of planning, employees arrived to complete a new kitchen, renovate common areas, paint the campus, furnish dorms, donate laptop computers, deliver new mattresses, clean the grounds, and give Christmas gifts to the children. The work also attracted political leaders from city, state and national levels.
